For one very special Halloween evening, we've got The River City Syncopators! Winnipeg's only 1920's hot jazz band in Winnipeg's only true authentic 1920's speakeasy - This is going to be one fun, unforgettable Halloween.
So dress yourself up, find the secret entrance, and dance the night away at The Basement Speakeasy for a 1920's hot jazz night like they had back in the days of old.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Jonathan Alexiuk (arranger/pianist) has been performing professionally since 1996. He is a prolific arranger of vocal & instrumental music; his arrangements have been played by the Ron Paley Big Band, the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, the Memory Lane Orchestra, Those Guys, the U of W Downtown Vocal Jazz Choir, the Air Command Band, among many others. At various times, he fills the roles of clinician, adjudicator, instructor, accompanist, and album producer. When not performing locally and around southern Manitoba, he regularly entertains on both the Holland America and Princess cruise lines, putting his vast musical repertoire to use.
